When you have gone bankrupt recently, you may be getting a lot of pre-approved credit offers in the mail. There doesn’t have to be all the customers given to the “buy now, pay later ” philosophy. Pre-approved credit offers will go away with Equifax, TransUnion and Experian by simply calling 888-5-OPTOUT (1-888-567-8688). Everyone hoping to make it difficult for identity theft to work and also everyone who needs to rebuild credit without emergency loans will really need this.
Credit card offers die with 888-5-OPTOUT
Call 888-5-OPTOUT if you are sick of all the direct marketing lists that seem to hound you daily. No more credit card offers and no more advertisements for credit products via postal mail will show up. You will have to give your social security number from your home line. The Federal Trade Commission has recommended this meaning it is safe to give out these numbers.

Recent mistakes with 888-5-OPTOUT
There was an email sent around a when ago saying 888-5-OPTOUT was a very good place to go to get out of losing info, although the info clear. A consumer had to go to the number or send a letter so their data was not given out to “anyone who requests it.”. The Financial Services Modernization Act and the Fair Credit Reporting Act would both be violated if this happened, reports Clearinghouse. 888-5-OPTOUT is not connected to either of these laws which is what was confusing. This means the controversy didn’t matter.
888-5-OPTOUT can be really helpful for the users using it. Avoid the credit card trap, keep away from identity theft and possibly you’ll be in a position where you won’t need poor credit loans.
