The performer gets to sing a duet on the show. The duet is with Elmo. Parents didn’t like seeing what Perry wore in her duet. She sang with Elmo her “Hot and Cold” hit. The clip of the sketch leaked on to YouTube, and concerned parents began writing letters and e-mails in protest, leading to the sketch getting pulled.
Perry guest stars on ‘Sesame Street’
Jim Henson productions, including “Sesame Street,” have been known for the celeb appearances on the show. In the last year, Katy Perry has had hits get a lot of radio and music video on TV airtime because she is so well-known at the moment. The show shows her singing a duet with Elmo. “Hot and Cold” is the song they sing. The song was made to be kid friendly as it was changed. Moms and dads weren’t mad about that though.
Parents decline to say ‘yes’ to the dress
The clip of Perry singing with Elmo, one of the most well-liked characters on the show, was leaked onto video site YouTube. Viewers thought the clip was inappropriate for kids and wrote e-mails and letters quickly. The segment of singing with Katy Perry is acceptable, reports MSNBC. The cleavage shown in Perry’s wardrobe is what moms and dads are upset about.
Stopping the segment from airing
Producers dropped the segment as a result of all the outrage concerned parents showed. Neither Perry nor her fiancé Russel Brand have commented, although the clip is on YouTube still.
